A comforting and quick homemade version of Hamburger Helper that combines creamy cheese with tender pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until cooked through, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the beef broth, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  3. Stir in the elbow macaroni, ensuring it’s well mixed, and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat, cover, and let simmer for about 10-12 minutes until the macaroni is tender.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy, adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, customize the cheese or add vegetables like diced bell peppers or corn.
