1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup cooked whole wheat pasta (optional)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, cottage cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
Spread the mixture evenly in a greased casserole dish.
Top the casserole with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
