Ingredients
Scale
1 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 70% cocoa)
1 cup pitted dates, chopped
½ cup nuts (such as almonds or walnuts, roughly chopped)
¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)
1 pinch sea salt
Instructions
Start by melting the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat them in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth and glossy.
While your chocolate melts, chop your dates and nuts. If you’re using shredded coconut, have it ready too.
Once the chocolate is melted, add in the chopped dates, nuts, and shredded coconut if opted. Stir everything thoroughly until coated in chocolate.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate mixture onto the paper and spread it out evenly.
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top of the bark to enhance the flavors.
Place the baking tray in the fridge for about 60 minutes until set.
Once set, remove the bark from the fridge, peel it off the parchment paper, and break it into pieces of your desired size.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
