A modern twist on classic meatballs, these Greek Turkey Meatballs are flavorful and paired with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Sauté the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of olive oil until they’re browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. Prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing together the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt in another bowl.
  5. Serve the meatballs warm with a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce for dipping.

Notes

Ensure the cucumber for the tzatziki is well-drained to avoid a watery sauce. Feel free to add favorite spices or herbs to the meatball mixture.
