A delicious twist on a classic burger, these Greek Turkey Burgers are packed with flavor from feta cheese and fresh herbs, making them a healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for grilling
  • Pita bread or burger buns
  • Toppings: sliced cucumber, tomato, and tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine ground turkey, feta cheese, parsley, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Mix until just combined and form into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill over medium heat.
  4. Cook patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  5. Serve on pita bread or burger buns and top with cucumber, tomato, and tzatziki sauce.

Notes

Make sure not to overmix the turkey mixture; it can make the burgers tough. For extra flavor, let the patties rest for about 15 minutes before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; it should read 165°F (75°C) for fully cooked turkey.
