A creamy, spicy pasta dish that combines flavor and warmth, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • ½ cup Heavy cream (or coconut cream)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated (vegetarian variant if needed)
  • ¼ cup Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain, saving a cup of the cooking water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant and light golden.
  3. Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes and stir for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the tomato paste to the skillet, stirring well for another minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until fully melted.
  7. Toss in the drained pasta and mix to coat with sauce; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper, garnishing with fresh parsley.
  9. Plate your spicy pasta and enjoy!

Notes

Pair with garlic bread and a green salad. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
