A simple yet elegant dish featuring shrimp sautéed in garlic butter served over linguine with a zesty lemon finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until it’s perfectly al dente. Drain it well and set aside.
  2. Heat a mixture of butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic and red pepper flakes for about 1 minute until aromatic.
  4. Cook the shrimp in the skillet until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer, cooking for about 2 minutes to let the alcohol cook off.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, and fresh lemon juice.
  7. Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet until coated in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Pair with a green salad and crusty bread to soak up the sauce. Serve with a chilled glass of white wine.
