Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil the Spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Pan: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbly.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics: Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing until the garlic is fragrant, approximately 30 seconds.
  4. Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Combine Everything: Stir in the cooked spaghetti and the remaining butter. Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish your dish with freshly chopped parsley and serve it warm with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute shrimp with sautéed mushrooms or zucchini.
