A colorful and fluffy Funfetti cake that brings joy to any celebration, filled with vibrant rainbow sprinkles.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the batter, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  6. Fold in the rainbow sprinkles gently until evenly distributed.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then on wire racks until completely cool.
  10. Frost with your favorite vanilla frosting and top with extra sprinkles.

Notes

Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
