Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; gradually incorporate into the wet mixture.
  5. Roll the dough into balls and flatten them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are golden.
  7. Remove cookies and cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Spread cream cheese mixture over each cooled cookie.
