A simple and delicious fruit cocktail dump cake that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 can of fruit cocktail (drained)
  • 1 cup of fruit juice from the fruit cocktail
  • 1/2 cup of butter (melted)
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the drained fruit cocktail evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the fruit juice over the fruit.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit and juice.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top, if using.
  7. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or cream cheese frosting for an elevated treat.
