  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (90°C) to prepare for the gentle baking.
  2. Whisking egg whites until frothy in a clean, dry mixing bowl.
  3. Gradually add the sugar while whisking to create a smooth, glossy mixture until stiff peaks form.
  4. Pipe or spoon the meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in desired shapes.
  5. Bake for 1-2 hours, or until dry and crisp, then cool in the oven with the door slightly open.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. If they become soft, re-crisp in a low oven.
