Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • To taste: chocolate frosting for decorating
  • To taste: edible decorations for football designs
  • To taste: walnuts or sprinkles for added texture

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter, ensuring it doesn’t brown. Once melted, remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Combine the Sweetness: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the Eggs and Vanilla: Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is incorporated before adding the next. Add the vanilla extract and stir until blended.
  4. Sift the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Mix Dry Ingredients with Wet: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Prepare the Baking Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  8. Pour and Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Cool Down: Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes.
  10. Decorate and Enjoy: Once cooled, spread a layer of chocolate frosting on top and use edible decorations to craft football designs.
