Delightful crostini topped with sweet fig jam, salty prosciutto, creamy cheese, and fresh greens—a perfect appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • Baguette or Italian bread
  • Fig jam
  • Prosciutto
  • Goat cheese or cream cheese (optional)
  • Fresh arugula or basil (optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for that delicious toasty flavor.
  2. Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
  3. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with olive oil.
  4. Toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  5. Spread a layer of fig jam on each toasted slice.
  6. Add a slice of prosciutto on top of the fig jam.
  7. If desired, add a dollop of goat cheese or cream cheese on top.
  8. Garnish with fresh arugula or basil.
  9. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top if desired, and serve immediately.
