A delightful twist on a classic Italian dessert, Eggnog Panna Cotta combines the rich flavors of eggnog with a smooth, creamy texture, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Nutmeg (for garnish)
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Combine the eggnog, heavy cream, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm but not boiling.
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the eggnog mixture from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or molds and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or until set.
  5. Top each panna cotta with whipped cream, a sprinkle of nutmeg, and a drizzle of caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Make sure the eggnog mixture doesn’t boil when warming. For a smoother texture, ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved before pouring.
