A comforting homemade lasagna recipe with layers of savory meat, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for any family dinner or gathering.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ground meat (beef, sausage, or turkey)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Egg (optional)
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente.
  3. Brown your choice of ground meat over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
  4. Add tomato sauce and Italian seasoning to the meat, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Combine ricotta cheese, egg (if using), salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish, followed by a layer of noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  9. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider experimenting with different types of cheese or adding sautéed vegetables.
