A sweet and easy dessert combining fruit cocktail with yellow cake mix for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 can of fruit cocktail (including juice)
  • 1/2 cup of butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the can of fruit cocktail with its juice into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit cocktail.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of it as possible.
  5. If desired, sprinkle nuts and coconut on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Serve warm or at room temperature. Toppings like whipped cream or caramel drizzle add a delicious touch!
