A delightful and simple recipe for bruschetta topped with fresh tomatoes and basil, perfect as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices and arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
  4. Combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted baguette slices and serve immediately.
