A delightful dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and savory honey sesame glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Start by coating the chicken pieces in cornstarch, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
  2. Dip each cornstarch-coated chicken piece in the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off.
  3. In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat and fry the chicken pieces in batches for about 4-6 minutes per batch.
  4. While the chicken is frying, grab another pan and combine honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Heat until it begins to bubble.
  5. Once your chicken is fried to perfection, add it to the bubbling sauce and toss gently.
  6. Serve your crispy honey sesame chicken garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra crunch, let the coated chicken rest on a rack before frying. Adjust sweetness with more or less honey.
