Deliciously crispy Brussels sprouts coated in garlic and parmesan, perfect as a side dish or snack.

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 1 lemon (zested)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Brussels sprouts, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning in a large mixing bowl. Toss until well coated.
  3. Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side down when possible.
  4. Roast in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes until tender and crispy, stirring halfway through.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and lemon zest while hot to allow melting.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with optional red pepper flakes.

Notes

For better crispiness, ensure Brussels sprouts are not overcrowded on the baking sheet. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
