  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Mix the milk and eggs in another bowl until blended. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Spoon the batter into a piping bag and pipe small strips into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the fries and drain on paper towels.
  6. Beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for the dip.
  7. Fold in the strawberry puree until evenly mixed. Serve warm with the dip.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for crispiness.
