A heavenly blend of velvety cheesecake topped with a crunchy, caramelized sugar crust, this Crème Brûlée Cheesecake combines two classic desserts into one extraordinary experience.

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for caramelizing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until sandy.
  3. Press it firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over your prepared crust.
  7. Pop the cheesecake into the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  8. Once baked, let the cheesecake cool on the counter, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  10. Sprinkle sugar over the top and caramelize it with a kitchen torch.
  11. Slice the cheesecake, serve, and enjoy!

Notes
