A heavenly blend of velvety cheesecake topped with a crunchy, caramelized sugar crust, perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for caramelizing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until you have a sandy mixture.
  3. Press it firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  5. Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over your prepared crust in the springform pan.
  7. Pop the cheesecake into the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  8. Once baked, let the cheesecake cool on the counter, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. Before serving, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  10. Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the top of the cheesecake and caramelize it until golden brown.
  11. Slice the cheesecake, serve it chilled, and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover cheesecake in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze slices for up to 2 months.
