Delightful donuts filled with rich chocolate chip whipped cream, combining crispy exteriors with fluffy interiors for a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl, then in another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter until blended. Mix wet ingredients into dry till smooth.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips to the whipped cream.
  6. Let the donuts cool, then cut a slit on the side and fill with chocolate chip cream using a piping bag. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Pair with coffee or hot chocolate for a delightful treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
