Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole

A rich and cheesy pasta casserole that brings comfort and nostalgia to the dinner table.

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Brown the meat in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Create the sauce by stirring in marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked spaghetti, cream cheese, and half of the mozzarella. Mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers.
  7. Add remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter meal, serve with a side arugula salad or garlic bread. Leftovers store well in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
