Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium bowl. Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Blend the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder in another bowl.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, folding them together until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.
  6. Cool in the pan for a bit, then remove to cool completely on a wire rack. Top with colorful sprinkles and cut into bars.

Notes

For the best texture, measure flour correctly. You can also substitute chocolate chips with nuts or favorite candies.
