A classic recipe for cookie dough that transforms your kitchen into a cozy haven, reminiscent of cherished memories.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  2. Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Blend in the flour mixture gently to avoid overmixing.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 9 to 11 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, start with room temperature butter and don’t skip the chilling step if refrigerating your dough.
