Delightful baked donuts filled with gooey cookie dough, perfect for a sweet breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about halfway.
  6. Place a small amount of cookie dough in the center of each donut and cover with more batter until filled about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and sprinkle chocolate chips on top before serving.

Notes

These donuts are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or frozen for a month.
