  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, rum, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  2. Customize Your Mix: If using, stir in chopped nuts and chocolate chips to your coconut mixture.
  3. Prepare Your Dish: Line a square baking dish with parchment paper to make removing the squares easier.
  4. Press Mixture Into the Dish: Press the coconut mixture firmly into the prepared dish, ensuring it’s packed evenly.
  5. Chill to Set: Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes or until set.
  6. Cut Into Squares: Lift the bars out of the dish using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
  7. Dust & Serve: Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Pack the coconut mixture firmly to hold squares together. You can prepare a day ahead for better flavor.
