Delightful coconut macaroons that are chewy and perfectly sweetened, reminiscent of cozy family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Whip the egg whites in another bowl until soft peaks form.
  4. Fold the whipped egg whites gently into the coconut mixture.
  5. Spoon generous spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For a twist, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the tops before serving.
