A rich and tropical coconut-flavored frosting perfect for cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
  3. Pour in the coconut milk and vanilla extract, and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. If using, fold in the shredded coconut.
  5. Adjust the consistency with more powdered sugar or coconut milk as needed.
  6. Use the frosting to decorate cakes or cupcakes, piping it into your desired design.

Notes

For extra coconut flavor, use coconut extract instead of vanilla. Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
