Delightful and fluffy mini donuts coated with cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix buttermilk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fill the muffin tin with batter, about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  7. Mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating while donuts are baking.
  8. Roll the baked donut bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture once cooled slightly.
  9. Enjoy your donut bites warm!

Notes

For an extra touch, add chocolate chips or nuts into the batter for added flavor and texture. Don’t overmix the batter for the best texture.
