Delicious treat combining rich brown sugar and warm cinnamon, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, melt the butter, and mix in the brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great alone or with ice cream.
