Deliciously fluffy cinnamon rolls topped with sweet vanilla icing, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining it with warm milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour until smooth.
  3. Add the remaining flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll the dough out into a rectangle, then spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Roll up the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  8. Place the cut rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk for icing, then drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Ensure your yeast is fresh for the best rise and don’t rush the rising time for fluffy rolls.
