Deliciously soft and gooey cinnamon rolls perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Mix the yeast: In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Spread softened butter on top, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll up tightly and cut into slices. Place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls. Enjoy!
