Delicate French macarons in festive red and green, perfect for celebrating the holiday season.

- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red gel food coloring
- Green gel food coloring
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3–4 cups powdered sugar (for filling)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for filling)
- Optional: festive sprinkles
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar.
- Whip the egg whites until foamy, gradually adding granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the almond mixture into the whipped egg whites gently.
- Color the batter by dividing it in half and adding red and green gel food coloring.
- Pipe small circles of batter onto the lined baking sheets, spaced 1.5 inches apart.
- Rest the piped macarons at room temperature for 30-60 minutes.
- Bake the macarons for 15-18 minutes or until they form their
