A moist and indulgent chocolate cake soaked in a rich blend of milks, perfect for special occasions or weekend treats.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Mix sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream in a bowl while the cake is baking.
  9. Poke holes all over the cake and pour the milk mixture over it once cooled.
  10. Serve chilled, optionally topping with whipped cream.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the cake to soak overnight. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
