Delightful croissants filled with rich dark chocolate and zesty orange, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Croissants
  • 100g Dark chocolate
  • Zest of 1 Orange
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the croissant dough on a clean surface.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and mix in the orange zest and a bit of sugar.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chocolate mixture on each croissant triangle.
  5. Roll the croissants from the wide end to the point, making sure to seal the chocolate inside.
  6. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar. Pairs well with coffee or tea.
