These chocolate muffins are sinfully rich, deeply chocolatey, and unbelievably tender, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
