A rich and velvety chocolate mousse filling that elevates any dessert to new heights.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth and glossy; remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl using an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until pale and fluffy.
  4. Combine the melted chocolate with the egg mixture until well incorporated.
  5. Incorporate the whipped cream into the chocolate-egg mixture until no streaks remain.
  6. Serve as a filling for cakes or cupcakes, or dish into cups for a standalone dessert.
