A rich and silky chocolate ganache tart that is perfect for any occasion, combining a crisp tart shell with a luscious chocolate filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made tart shell
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If your tart shell is not pre-baked, bake it according to package instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
  2. Heat the heavy cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Be careful not to let it boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the dark chocolate chips. Let them sit for a minute to soften, then stir until you achieve a smooth and glossy ganache.
  4. Add the unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to your hot chocolate mixture. Stir until fully combined.
  5. Pour the ganache into the cooled tart shell, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
  6. Allow the tart to set at room temperature for at least 1 hour, or refrigerate for a faster setting process.
  7. Once set, slice your tart into generous pieces and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Pair with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
