A moist and indulgent chocolate cake that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your pans.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Mix in the wet ingredients until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the boiling water gradually.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cakes in the pans before transferring them to a wire rack.
