A delightful treat combining fudgy brownies and chewy cookies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in another bowl. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Add spoonfuls of cookie dough on top, then top with the remaining brownie batter.
  8. Swirl lightly with a knife to combine.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Dust with powdered sugar for added sweetness.
