A delightful twist on the classic cheesesteak featuring chicken, melted provolone cheese, and sautéed peppers, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté until softened.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and add them to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken, slice it, and return to the skillet.
  5. Place slices of provolone cheese on top of the chicken and allow it to melt.
  6. Serve the chicken and cheese mixture on hoagie rolls.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the chicken for a juicy texture. Additional vegetables like mushrooms or spinach can be added for extra nutrition.
