A classic dish featuring tender chicken breast stuffed with savory ham and melted Swiss cheese, coated in breadcrumbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Take each chicken breast and slice it open to form a pocket. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese inside each pocket.
  4. Close the pocket and secure with toothpicks if necessary.
  5. Dredge the stuffed chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Remove toothpicks, slice, and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding mustard or herbs to the stuffing mixture. Ensure to pound the chicken breasts slightly for even cooking.
