  • Lettuce or spinach (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Olive oil or butter for toasting

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread in a skillet over medium heat with olive oil or butter until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the avocado by cutting it in half, removing the pit, and mashing the flesh with a fork; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado generously on one slice of toasted bread.
