A warm and creamy pasta bake that combines penne pasta, shredded chicken, and a luscious Alfredo sauce, topped with gooey cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces Penne pasta
  • 2 cups Cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Shred your cooked chicken if not already done.
  4. If making homemade Alfredo sauce, combine heavy cream, butter, garlic, and Parmesan cheese in a saucepan over medium heat until melted and thickened.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine pasta, chicken, Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle with cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For lighter sauce, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Avoid overcooking pasta as it will continue to cook in oven.
