  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and large eggs until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake in your preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks.

Notes

Ensure butter is softened but not melted. Toasting pecans enhances their flavor.
