Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of cheese (American or cheddar)
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise)
  • Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into small patties.
  3. Cook the patties on a grill or stovetop skillet until they are browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. While the patties are cooking, cut the Hawaiian rolls in half.
  6. Place the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet.
  7. Once the patties are ready, place each patty on a roll half, and add your desired condiments and toppings.
  8. Top with the other halves of the rolls.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the rolls are lightly toasted.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in garlic powder or onion powder into the ground beef. Use a grill pan for added char. Customize toppings for variations.
