Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together flour, cardamom, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth in a separate bowl.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers look soft.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
